Kathleen is going to put what she thinks our learner analysis is based on the WebQuest, but we need to decide the exact lesson we want to create.
Hi Kathleen,
I have been thinking about this. It is supposed to be a 40 - 50 minute mini lesson based on the subject of our WebQuest correct? Classroom and Library collaboration - integrating a tech tool.
We can use any one of our 10 events. Which one do you like the best?
Some Suggestions:
Greek Mythology and using Cacoo to create a Family Tree of the Gods?
Greek Architecture and finding 5-10 modern buildings that used the Greek design. Write a brief description of each building, where it is located, what kind of Greek column it used, when it was built, etc.. Presented in Prezi?
Art and Entertainment - Using a program like xtranormal to make a modern version of a scene from greek play or using Fodey a newspaper clipping generator to write a review of a greek play.
Maybe make a Glogster poster for any of the decathalon events. Break the class into 10 groups and each group is assigned a different event to learn more about and create the poster.

Hi Kathleen, Am I understanding the assignment correctly? It's not an assignment based on teaching the webquest but on an additional assignment that supports the subject of our webquest?
I looked at the example in the text book. The class reviewed the webquest on Lewis and Clark. Then they went to the library and researched information on boat building. They designed a boat Lewis and Clark style and then wrote a letter to the boat mfg. Dr M's example has the class splitting into small groups and searching for and evaluating websites that either corroborates or disconfirms the information on the genocide webquest. There is a lot of information about the assignment in many different places so I have a hard time grasping the exact nature of the assignment.

Hi, Sorry I didn't get back with you yesterday. I am actually at a Spring Educator's Conference in Greece, so I didn't have any access yesterday. I am so confused about the lesson, but I'm pretty sure she's wide open to many things. My thoughts were to use the Letter Generator and do more of a collaboration about teaching students to write. HOWEVER, I really liked the first idea that you had about using Cacoo to create a family tree. Let me get some more time to sit and try to find different instructions/ideas. Then we can really figure it out. I want to work on it later on tonight, but I have some social activities calling my name. I'm also going to get some of our own pictures to use on the WebQuest so we don't have to worry about citations!! How cool is it that I'm in Greece???

Jen worked on the analyzing learners part. We will do the Family Tree in Cacoo. Kathleen plans to work mainly on Wednesday night and the goal is to be finished by Saturday.

Kathleen added some to the Graphic organizer created by Jen, worked on formatting the lesson plan and added to "S", "S", and "U". She also started the Student Self-Reflection as a Google Doc:https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kkRfd5FvJYRxQ1elnRWGS4ZrvmVzvyyqUGi3k2svg0M/edit Left some questions for Jen regarding the standards and objectives, what to strike to not have too many objectives and outcomes. Also, a question about the student demographics. Plan to work on last two sections tomorrow. Goal of finishing by Saturday night well within reason.

Jen, I'm very happy with the edits and changes I've made. I feel the lesson plan is nearly complete. It just remains for you to read through it, comparing it to the rubric, to make sure we've met all the requirements. After you do that, please send me an email with discussion and note any changes you've made. Then, we are ready to submit. Jenn will submit the rubric while Kathleen submits the URL, as in our previous collaboration.
